Part of my handmade felted merino wool/cashmere/fleece hat line. The  makes this much softer and warmer than anything non-felted (and takes a LOT longer to make, which accounts for the cost).  

This one, rather than a "closed hat" design, is basically a hood. It fastens with two hook/eye closures at the front, so it stays on you and can be worn up over the head, or you can let it hang down like a hood. I really like this design because unlike a hat that's either "on" or "off", you can pull the hood down and not lose it. Since this is a hood rather than a hat, it's also WAY more flexible in terms of fit. Lovely jingly charms on the end which make a pretty tinkling sound. 

You can sometimes find things like this on Etsy for the same price as mine (usually around $40-$60), but mine are felted, so thicker, way more durable, and a LOT warmer. I have a machine with 12 spiky needles that does this. It also takes more time and makes a huge difference in the finished work. 

ARM WARMERS/LEG WARMERS SOLD SEPARATELY. Check my  listings for a set of arm warmers and/or  with similar colors (I tend to make these in bundles). If the coats are a bit much for you, you can put together a hat/hood with arm warmers and/or leg warmers and it does look super cute.
